Product introduction
N,N-Dimethylformamide (DMF, CAS 68-12-2) is a high-polarity, aprotic organic solvent widely used as a reaction medium and processing solvent across polymer, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, dye and electronics industries. DMF is valued for excellent solvency of polar and high-molecular-weight species, miscibility with water and many organics, and predictable performance in condensation, substitution and polymerization processes.
Storage & handling
Storage & handling guidance: Store in original, tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources and strong oxidizers. Protect from prolonged heat and direct sunlight; keep tanks and drums grounded for flammable liquid transfer. Use closed transfer, local exhaust ventilation and appropriate PPE (chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, respirator if exposure limits may be exceeded). Consult lot SDS for temperature-specific storage recommendations and emergency procedures.
